The Village Board of Trustees unanimously voted at Monday night’s meeting to approve improvements to Nickerson Drive, Lawyers Lane, and Grove Street as presented by DPW Superintendent Cole Keyser.
Substantial work will be done on both Nickerson Drive and Lawyers Lane, with improvements including cold paving, fog sealing, and then oil and stoning. Since both Village streets are dead ended, the DPW will communicate with residents for when road construction is scheduled later this summer.
Additionally, a new layer of black top will be applied to lower Grove Street as part of this year’s work.
Between cost of materials and labor, the estimated cost of road improvements to Nickerson Drive, Lawyers Lane, and Grove Street will be approximately $60,000. All funds are being paid out of the Village DPW’s allotment of CHIPS funds.
