UPDATE (7/25/2023): As a result of our paving company being delayed by storms on Monday, we are currently rescheduled to pave lower Grove Street, Lawyers Lane, and Nickerson Drive on Thursday, July 27th. However, with a strong possibility for rain on Thursday, we might be delayed until next week. We will update the public as more information becomes available.
The following residential notice has been sent to residents of lower Grove Street, Lawyers Lane, and Nickerson Drive concerning road construction that will take place on those village streets next week:
Dear Residents,
On the morning of Wednesday, July 26th – contingent upon good weather – your road will be temporarily closed from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM as the Village DPW makes improvements to your street.
The Village DPW will be making improvements to lower Grove Street (from the corner of Wells Avenue and Grove Street down approximately 250 feet towards Railroad Avenue), Lawyers Lane, and Nickerson Drive.
While construction will be completed on lower Grove Street that day when the new blacktop is applied, both Lawyers Lane and Nickerson Drive will be a multi-phase project that will require additional work after the initial cold paving is completed on Wednesday. The Village DPW will notify you when the next phase of work will be done.
Residents of Lawyers Lane and Nickerson Drive will not be able to enter or exit your streets for the majority of the day, so alternate parking arrangements will need to be made. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these vital improvements.
