The Village of Middleburgh Board of Trustees will be holding our monthly meeting on Monday, August 7th at 7:00 PM. Village residents may attend in-person at the Library or online via Zoom (link to be published on Monday morning). Below is the Agenda and attached Board Packet.

Village Board Meeting Agenda – August 7, 2023

1. Deputy Mayor to open Village meeting with Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 PM.

2. Motion to approve Regular Board Minutes of July 10, 2023, and Special Board Minutes of July 24, 2023.

3. Continue Public Hearing on Fred Risse PDD.

4. Motion to Appoint Historical Flood Sign Committee: Village Trustee Timothy Knight, Village Historian Charley Spickerman, and Village resident John Shaw, Jr.

5. Fire Department monthly report: Motion to schedule Special Board Meeting on Monday, August 21st, 7:00 PM at the Middleburgh Firehall to continue Fire Contract negotiations.

Water – Sheldon Avenue Water Line Repairs: Motion to approve Ti-Sales Quote of $3,342.86 for Replacement Parts.

8. Motion to approve Personnel Committee Recommendation to hire Bryan Graham as Laborer for $16.50 per hour, starting date retroactive to July 31, 2023.

9. Motion to transfer $5,000 from A1990.0 Contingent to A1420.4 Attorney for Attorney fees for Stewarts Law Suit.  

10. Motion to approve Water Rents in the amount of $52,646.84 and Motion to approve Sewer Rents in the amount of $57,234.24.

11. Announcement: The 10th Annual Heritage Day Celebration will be on Friday, August 25th from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Timothy Murphy Park. The JFF Trio will be performing from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by The Rubber Band from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

12. Public Comment: limited to 3 minutes per resident. Any interruptions or outbursts prior to Public Comment may result in offending resident being asked to leave.
