Over the past several months, Village of Middleburgh Code Enforcement Officers Lloyd Stannard and Frederick “Rick” Fink have been integrating a new tool into their enforcement toolkit: Cloudpermit. As part of this program, Village residents and contractors/professionals doing work within the Village are now able to apply for and track the progress of their building permits online.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Village Code Enforcement at 518-827-5143 or via email to Villagemiddcodes@midtel.net.
Apply for a building permit online:
The Village of Middleburgh uses a cloud-based software Cloudpermit so you can complete the entire building permit process online on any mobile device. With Cloudpermit, you can:
- Apply for building permits at any time, from anywhere.
- Check the status of your building permit or building inspection (when your application status changes, you’ll automatically receive an email letting you know)
- Schedule or cancel building inspections.
- Communicate with your building department with time-stamped messages.
- Request and submit changes to an existing building permit.
- Please note: the Village of Middleburgh will still only accept payment via check/money order made out to Village of Middleburgh, P.O. Box 789, Middleburgh, N.Y., 12122 and no permits will be issued without payment being received first. Additionally, Code Enforcement Officers may request physical copies of engineering plans, renderings, etc., as part of the application process.
