Village of Middleburgh Mayor Timothy Knight announced the results of the Village’s recent Grant Survey that was mailed out to residents and property owners as part of the February Water & Sewer billing cycle (full results are in the PDF below) at Monday night’s Village Board Meeting.
Among Village resident’s greatest priorities are (A.) Improving the Village Pool, (B.) Extending Sewer Lines, (C.) Replacing Residential Sidewalks, and (D.) Improving Village Parking. In addition, residents noted water infrastructure and speed enforcement should be among the greatest priorities not listed, as well as other recommendations.
“The results of this survey are heartening, as the Village Board has already prioritized many of the projects identified, including improving the Village Pool, extending Sewer Lines, and replacing Sidewalks,” said the Mayor. He continued, “We also appreciate the wide range of recommendations that came in as well.”
The next step in the process is for the Village Board of Trustees to appoint a Village Grants Committee at the April Village Board Meeting. The committee will consist of both Village residents and officials; several residents volunteered to be part of the committee during the survey process.
